Due South

(no subject)

I'm back from New Orleans and finally migraine-free. We'll see how long the condition lasts. But in the meantime, I'm going to start looking for a job.

I really enjoyed New Orleans. Not just because it was so beautifully warm. I want summer now. The people were nice, the food was awful, and the city was a nice mix of tourist junk and beautiful, local and therefore unique art. I had a great time shopping. Plus, White House, Black Market, a store we don't have up in Canada, is great.

I did less reading on this trip than I've probably done on any trip before, but that's because I didn't bring all the books I meant to, and then had one of my books stolen by my mother. It's a new rule of travel that I haven't quite gotten used to: bring one extra book for every family member travelling with me because they won't bring their own and will steal from my stalk anyway.

I also did probably the stupidest thing imaginable: I brought a knife on the plane. Completely by accident, but I actually mean that I brought it on the plane. It went through security without any problems.

Drabble: Forever

Title: Forever
Author: Trinity Day
Word Count: 100
Pairing: Sirius/James
A/N: I'm surprisingly fond of this, considering how sappy it is. It was written for one of the SiriusxJames yahoogroup's first line challenges.

"By forever, do you really mean forever?"

Although Sirius hated it, but there were times when he was really unsure of himself. Worst, it seemed that those times occurred most frequently when it came to his relationship with James.

“No, you idiot, I meant until a better shag comes around. Maybe I’ll suddenly start liking girls. Lily’s nice looking. Yes, she hates me, but I’m sure I can work around that.”

Rolling his eyes, James shoved him, playfully. “Of course I mean forever. How couldn’t I?”

It was followed up with a kiss that stopped Sirius from feeling so insecure.
